Cumbria and the Lake District

The Lake District is the biggest and most visited National Park in England.   It is here you will find England’s highest mountain Scafell Pike and one of England’s deepest and largest lakes, Windermere.   Other Cumbria attractions include the Eden Valley, the North Pennines, the Furness Peninsula, and part of the Yorkshire Dales.

You can visit  picturesque towns like Bowness-on-Windermere, Kendal and Keswick,  entertain your children at family attractions like World of Beatrix Potter ,  and go walking and cycling along Hadrian’s Wall.

For something a little different why not see the preserved railways of Ravenglass & Eskdale, Lakeside & Haverthwaite, Kirkby Stephen East, or visit the Wordsworth House and the Dock Museum.
